Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the MechMind application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MechMind is a workshop management platform that provides tools for scheduling, work order management, parts tracking, vehicle records, and customer communication for automotive service businesses.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content.
• Use the Service to store or transmit content that infringes on third-party rights.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service. We will not use your data for purposes unrelated to the Service without your consent.

6. Availability and Support

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MechMind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Subscription & Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis with monthly or annual billing. All plans start with a 14-day free trial on the Pro tier; no credit card is required during the trial. At the end of the trial you select a plan and enter payment details. Prices are listed on our Pricing page and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. All fees are non-refundable except as described in Section 9 below.

9. Refunds & Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

• You retain full access to the Service until the end of your current paid billing period.
• After the billing period ends your account moves to a read-only state. Your data is never deleted.
• No further charges will be made after cancellation.

Refund policy:

• If you cancel during the 14-day free trial, no payment is collected and no refund is necessary.
• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. You keep access for the remainder of the paid month.
• Annual subscriptions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis if you cancel within the first 30 days of a new annual term. After 30 days, the annual fee is non-refundable but you retain access until the term ends.

To request a refund, email support@mechmind.app with your account details. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method.

10. Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@mechmind.app within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.

We encourage you to resolve billing concerns directly with us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks that we determine to be unfounded may result in suspension of your account until the dispute is resolved.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
